Hope College Goes Purple for a Day

Posted By

This past weekend Hope College Soccer hosted their annual Purple games! We headed out to Holland for a day of fun and a community of hope. Hope College has raised over $65,000 for research at Van Andel Institute between basketball, football, hockey and soccer events each year.

David and Carol Van Andel joined us at this fabulous event to witness how Hope College – their alma mater – perpetuates our mission of 100% hope.

“Hope College’s partnership with Purple Community and Van Andel Institute is something we value immensely, and it is inspiring to see so many people working together to give back in the service of health, and to honor those who have been affected by cancer and other diseases,” David Van Andel said at the game.

On Saturday both the men’s and women’s soccer teams participated in this event. They showed their passion for researching new treatment options both on the field and off. Together with players and fans the Van Andel Soccer Stadium was successfully turned into a sea of purple shirts!

We love partnering with Hope College every year and look forward to partnering on other events again soon! Stay tuned for fundraising totals from last weekend’s event.
