Dining for Hope

What is Dining for Hope?

Dining for Hope is a great way for restaurants and bars to engage with Van Andel Institute Purple Community. 100% of the funds raised through our Dining for Hope program benefit cancer, Parkinson’s and other research at Van Andel Institute.

Who Can Get Involved?

Any restaurant or bar that has a hunger for Hope!

When does Dining for Hope Begin?

This program runs year-round. Locations select which month(s) they would like to participate!

Past participants:

September 2019

October 2019

How does the program work?

Each participating restaurant or bar determines a day, week, month (or more!) to dedicate to raising funds to support cancer, Parkinson’s and other research at Van Andel Institute!

Ideas for raising funds can include:

  • Give back a portion of sales from food or non-alcoholic beverages
  • Percentage of overall sales
  • Hope icons to sell for $1
  • Host a “Pack the Pub” night
  • Perhaps you already have a give-back program – we would love to collaborate with you!

What can Purple Community provide?
  • An information packet with the following:
    • Promotional materials (POS inserts, posters and generic Dining for Hope table tents)
    • Program outline
    • Purple Community bracelets/trinkets
    • Purple Community rack cards
  • Hope icons that can be sold to customers for $1
  • Purple Community can advertise a “Pack the Pub” night for customers to wear purple and
  • order the give-back feature, if one has been identified
  • A current merchandise list if you wish to sell our merchandise at your location
